DELICIOUS Chocolate Bark
Hello!
I thought I'd kick things off on this blog with a delicious yet easy recipe for Chocolate Bark, that you can make at home with your kids. Beware! This simple and delicious chocolate bark is SO easy to make, and provides a delicious treat for people of all ages, it's dangerous. It is great fun to make with kids, and they love getting creative adding sprinkles and sweets, and are so proud of their creations at the end. We had such fun making it, we hope you try it out too!
YOU WILL NEED:
Milk, Dark and White Chocolate
Food Colouring (optional)
Sprinkles (any sort and colour, get creative!)
Small Sweets and Chocolates
Popcorn and other decorations and treats
Dried fruits and berries
Mini marshmallows
Mini marshmallows
METHOD:
You simply want to get a sheet of parchment or baking paper, and lay it out on a tray or flat counter. Spread a generous, but not too thick layer of chocolate on the sheet with an off-set spatula or spoon, until it is smooth.
Add any sprinkles, sweets and decorations you desire, until the chocolate is overflowing with yummy things. For an added twist, feel free to melt other chocolate flavours, and even colour it with food colouring to drizzle over the top.
If you want to make a fancier, more adult bark for a party gesture or hostess gift, top with popcorn and dried fruits and berries.
When you are covered in chocolate, and your kids have already started to eat it, place the tray into the freezer and leave to set for 10-20 minutes. You can leave it for up to 2 hours.
After what seems like an eternity, get the chocolate from the freezer and pull it off the baking paper. Break into shards or any shape you like, and share. I made some and wrapped it in tissue paper, which made a delicious and easy gift, and looks super impressive! Or you can eat it off the plate whilst watching telly. I swear it will be gone within 5 minutes! I hope you try this recipe out!
